Cars and Coffee: 31May2009

At this past Sunday’s Madison Cars & Coffee a few folks mentioned that they may want to meet up in Madison and drive over to Lake Mills this coming Sunday. The weather looked a bit sketchy earlier this week, but looks better now.

The thought would be either meeting at Barriques around 7:30 am and leaving 7:45 am or meeting at the Park and Ride in Stoughton around 7:45 am and leaving around 8 am.

Please let me know if you are interested and which meeting spot you’d prefer. Include your name and car and I’ll send out a confirmation of where to meet and the list of folks going.

We rolled out as planned from Barriques at 7:45 with 9 cars. We took Highway BB (Cottage Grove road) into Lake Mills). Great day for a ride and a great route.

There were about 35 cars that showed up with another 8 or so in 2Shores.

2Shores also had an Apollo they recently purchased at Russo and Steele auction. It has 2900 miles, it was previously owned by Grant Apollo (the founder of the company) and they even took the car out of the the show room for a trip around the parking lot.

Great day and it is nice to be home by 11AM to enjoy the rest of the day!

I wanted to go, but after getting home at 5:00am only a couple hours didn’t sound very appealing.
