Cobra…….. Real or Fake???

Okay, this is an interesting question!

The Cobra (not the Mustang) is a popular repli-car.

It can be purchased as a kit or pre-built.

I’m talking about the older Cobra, not the new ‘surprise’ for Carroll.

The $65,000 question is….

Would you rather have the repli-car or a REAL Cobra?

I didn’t vote because I honestly don’t know which car I would want!

If I was forced to vote I would choose the repli-car because I would
drive it instead of keeping it under locked security.

I would love to have a Cobra. The issue of the day is it’s avaliability. There are plenty of Cobra fans who would jump at the chance to have an original Cobra but so many have been lost through the years that they have been hard to come by. Luckily Shelby America is manufacturing the Cobra again so an original can be had.

The kit car offers a nice alternative for the car fan who may want to build a car or may have a custom engine in the garage that is looking for a home, just so long as they acknowledge it is a kit car I have nothing wrong with it.

I could use the replicar to drive more regularly and not be paranoid about all the other drivers on the road.

I could then keep the real Cobra as the actual prize and just trailer it to shows.

This way you would get the best of both worlds.

I would rather have a replica because I wouldn’t want to drived a real one on the streets knowing how valuable they are. Too many drivers on the road have little respect for others property. And a number of people on the road don’t have a drivers license either because its suspended or there illegal aliens.

That’s a very good point, keep the replica preserved and not risk destroying it
