County 1/2% Sales Tax

From what I understand the 1/2% sales tax was enacted to pay off an approximately $25 million bill. Anything brought in above that was to go towards property tax relief. So far it has brought in over $600 million. So why aren’t the property taxpayers receiving tax relief? Instead that money goes back into the general fund to be spent on other things.
