I don’t believe anything they say about crime going down. They can present the information to make it look any way they want it to look. Ask the people living in Madison near some of the problem areas. The quality of life in Madison has deteriorated at an alarming rate in the last 10 years.

Look at all the money they ahve spent to clean up Allied Drive. Nothing has changed in 15 years over there. I still wouldn’t even consider going anywhere near that neighborhood, heck even driving home on Verona Rd. in that area at night is questionable. People run across that 4 lane in the dark in front of traffic. Allied is full of gangs, drugs, and shootings…not the place to raise children.

They should’ve learned that bad neighborhoods are bad neighborhoods, and s full-on clean sweep with the help of the property owners is the only thing that will help make a difference. Take Simpson Street as an example, they changed the name to Lake Point Drive, but it didn’t make it a better area to live.

The Allied Drive troubles are migrating over to the Meadowood area now, and the South Park Street/Badger Road section of town is getting rough nowadays too
