Our Sheriff, Dave Mahoney, is being severely criticized by a vocal minority for his policy of notifiying ICE (Immigation and Customs Enforcement) of arrestees arriving at the Dane County Bed and Breakfast (Dane County Jail) who are illegal immigrants/aliens in addition to the criminal offenses which landed them in the Dane County Jail. Sheriff Mahoney is only following guidance and direction from the state of Wisconsin Attorney General. If you support and agree with what Sheriff Mahoney is doing, I would encourage you to let him know that you support him and the men and women of the Dane County Sheriff’s Department. I think he is doing the right thing in contacting ICE about the illegal immigrants who are in the Dane County Jail. I will email and let him know that.
Dave Mahoney, our current Sheriff, is campaigning for re-election this year. It’s too bad that spammers are attempting to corrupt this forum with their BS postings.
I said it before and I will say it again- I appreciate the hard work that our Sheriff and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office continues to do, day by day. Keep up the good work, and you have my vote, again this year. God bless you, and the men and women who work so hard to keep us safe and protected.
