So do you? I don’t think I’d need one enough to pay a few hundred bucks for an aftermarket job. And in a few years whenever I end up getting a new car I don’t see that as a major selling point either.

I don’t have one, but the reason is I haven’t needed one yet.

I don’t have one because I don’t travel for business or anything like that so I’m not really in need of one a lot

I have maps and know how to read them. If I was a trucker and needed to find my way fast, it might be worth it, but I have time to stop and look at the map or do an onlne map search before I go somewhere new. Not on my “GOTTA GET” list.

I have a terrible sense of direction, so I have a lot of use for this unit. It also tells me where all the speedtraps are (not that I speed, but it’s interesting to know) and exactly how fast I am going (as GPS never lies, and car speedometers are set to read high).

Aside from anything else, it’s cool! :)

No, and I can’t imagine why I’d want one?

It’s dead convenient, being able to plug in your destination and just go there with no fuss. Even if you make a mistake, it doesn’t panic (although the iCN520 gets a bit annoyed if you ignore her repeatedly) – it just gets you back on course. No matter what.

Believe me, if you ever tried to get through Bristol with a map, you’d know what I mean. It’s Hell on wheels, literally!

Does it also have the audio prompts “Turn Right Here… ect” ?

You get complete verbal guidance. It’s usually:

“In one hundred metres, at the roundabout, take the third exit.”

    …followed up with:

    “Take the third exit”

…when you are about to enter the roundabout, and then:

    “Next exit”

    Nope, don’t need one.

Know where I’m going, if not, I’ll find out where I’m going by “experimenting”.

That’s really nice, its amazing how detailed and accurate they are

Yeah, she’s really good. Except for her lisp, and the fact that she gets progressivly more and more irate when you don’t follow her instructions!
