Welcome Forum The Drag Strip Door remote users – how often do you manually open a door?

    So now that remote door openers have pretty much been a standard on cars for several years lets get a feel for how addictive they are.

    I just used my keys to open the car today when it looked like the key hole was slightly covered (recent snow flurries). I paused internally and realized how little I do that these days.

    How about you?

    Mine’s a newer car but didn’t come with one and its a several hundred dollar feature so I opted to just turn the key since I’m right there anyway 😉

    My 77 Caprice doesn’t have that option so I do it the 1977 way. thumbsup.gif My wife doesn’t remember how to open the doors on her van if she can’t find her remote. 😯

    I use it alll the time. However, I have to manually release the rear hatch.

    My car doesn’t have remote central locking. I wouldn’t mind having that, but there you go. :)

    If it was a £20 or £30 upgrade, I might consider it.

    I have and use it, especially handy in the winters here.
