This topic was also discussed last year, just prior to the Edgerton Show.
As I recall, it all worked out OK. If memory serves, the additional fees of $5 per person, was only collected from those cars who were participating in the festivites in the park, after the show. These additional fees were not collected from those who were just showing their cars, then leaving for home after the show. There is usually a parade of cars from downtown to the park after the show.
In regards to the classes, I can see where there are few choices for street rods (prior to 1949). I would guess that your car would best fit in Class K (street rods).
I, and others, have discovered that there were problems pre-registering for this show. My envelope and pre-registration materials were returned by the USPS “RETURN TO SENDER/NO SUCH NUMBER/UNABLE TO FORWARD”. I was able to contact the contact for this show – Deanna – who told me that she would pre-register my car for me and I could work it out with her when I got to the show. My car buddy, Dick Lehnherr’s – pre-registration material was also returned to him yesterday by the USPS. Apparently there was a misprint on the flyer for the mailing address and the USPS is returning everything sent to that address in Edgerton.
Over the past few years, this show has gotten better and continues to improve each year. The folks that do this show are good people, and their heart’s are in the right place and they really do work hard to make this a good show.
