Is charging $10 day of show, and $5 for every person in your car over 12yo. WTF…

It would cost me $20 with the wife and kid in the car. So do you drop everyone off
down the street and let them walk in. Or are they charging for spectators also?

Not to sure about the classes either.. just my opinion, and no Microsoft products
were used in the creation of this post.

This topic was also discussed last year, just prior to the Edgerton Show.

As I recall, it all worked out OK. If memory serves, the additional fees of $5 per person, was only collected from those cars who were participating in the festivites in the park, after the show. These additional fees were not collected from those who were just showing their cars, then leaving for home after the show. There is usually a parade of cars from downtown to the park after the show.

In regards to the classes, I can see where there are few choices for street rods (prior to 1949). I would guess that your car would best fit in Class K (street rods).

I, and others, have discovered that there were problems pre-registering for this show. My envelope and pre-registration materials were returned by the USPS “RETURN TO SENDER/NO SUCH NUMBER/UNABLE TO FORWARD”. I was able to contact the contact for this show – Deanna – who told me that she would pre-register my car for me and I could work it out with her when I got to the show. My car buddy, Dick Lehnherr’s – pre-registration material was also returned to him yesterday by the USPS. Apparently there was a misprint on the flyer for the mailing address and the USPS is returning everything sent to that address in Edgerton.

Over the past few years, this show has gotten better and continues to improve each year. The folks that do this show are good people, and their heart’s are in the right place and they really do work hard to make this a good show.

Just looking at there web page it says: 1 car entry fee will get car and driver into the park. $5.00 each addl person in car. Kids under 12 are free!

It is kind of deceiving if you were a first timer it looks like you have to pay an extra $5 for each person to enter the show…

    Oh well…. :side:

Too bad this show didn’t seem to work out for people. I am taking notes and passing them along. Mazo’s show August 1st is on the downtown streets and this year it sounds like they have judges for the show. They also plan on one trophy for the participants to vote for and a old club that I and a few other guys are reforming are giving away a club trophy to someone.

Sounds like the suggestion of no strollers (pushed by kids), bikes, or skateboards allowed kicked in.
