When will electric vehicles start participating in Car Show, or have they already?

And are they really collectible?

I believe there was a new or newer Tesla on display at the Brat Fest Car Show, earlier this year in Madison, and the crowds and spectators were all over this car all day long. It was, without a doubt, the most popular car at that show. That was in June, if memory serves. Other than this one, I have not seen an electric vehicle at a show.
