Amen Paul….
March 6, 2011 at 6:18 pm #37778lordairgtarParticipantI am not sure how I feel about present day unions. I grew up in a family that were union members…UAW, IBRW, Machinist union…etc. Unions fought for living wages and safe working conditions. I think OSHA addresses many of the safety concerns these days.

March 10, 2011 at 4:14 am #37825GTO ManModeratorLooks like its time for the recall effort on the republicans to kick into high gear. Their stress levels should rise accordingly.

Well,……..no it’s not. It’s an attack on the unions plain and simple. The unions have to realize that not everyone in WI is in a union and really don’t give a dog dodo about collective barganing for a small part of the work force. But hey……….in the next election we’ll find out who was right and who was wrong.
As far as all the recalls, I think they’ll all fizzle out after the dust settles……..on both sides. But the Republicans have the edge here, after all, they did there jobs as required. They showed up for work and voted for the people that elected them. The Dems are in a different situation, because they failed to do the job by not showing up for work, so……..

It is amazing that all the Democrat recall efforts are from outside Wisconsin..Hmmmm
I was at the Capitol today, and I did not see any Walker supporters. Must be hiding behind
their keyboards… :laugh:March 10, 2011 at 9:13 pm #37781AnonymousInactiveWe don’t have to protest……………we’re in the drivers seat.
March 10, 2011 at 9:58 pm #37782mick289Participantone thing the flip flop wearing left is not consistant. all they wanted 3 years ago was “CHANGE” well heres change and they don’t like it. they want to change capitolism into socialism so everyone just makes the same amount, hmm? does that mean only us that don’t have union representation? must be! six figured bus drivers, six figured teachers, wow and that’s just the wage. well keep parading around it’s so entertaining, a lot like a carnival.

We can thank Governor Doyle for leaving us all such a nice gift when he left office… millions of dollars in debt.. people wanted change and they voted for change. The Republicans stuck around and did their jobs, not fleeing to Illinois like grade school kids who didn’t get their way. For years money was no object obviously, they were given their chance, now it’s time for someone else.
I don’t agree with everything Governor Walker is doing, and agree he needs to do things in stages. I don’t think he was hiding today ~ I think he was doing his job, just like I was and many others in Wisconsin.
March 11, 2011 at 12:37 am #37835GTO ManModeratorWalker is doing many of the same things that Doyle did, only he is better at hiding it.
And as far as doing his job, he is doing a great job of dividing the state and hurting the middle class.
