I’d say the warning beep for your car lights is a great feature. How many times do you forget to turn off your lights??

Or the car door remote? Remote starter?

    Whats your favorite doodad?

That’s about the extent of what my car has. The most advanced features for an Almera N16 (early model) are:

    – Power steering
    – Central locking (no remote)
    – Errrr….

It even came with a tape player in it… This is a car released in 2000! A tape player! That was replaced with a JVC CD player (a decent one) shortly after I bought the car. The puny rear speakers (6″ x 4″ single paper cone) was replaced with slightly less puny JBL speakers. I’m thinking about replacing the not-puny-at-all 6.5″ speakers at the front with some nice Pioneer or Infinity speakers soon, too – not sure about this, though. It’s really the quality I’m after, and I realise that you don’t have ears in your feet but I’d like more clarity and a bit more power.

I don’t have one but I would really like to get a remote starter. Up here in this pathetic climate it would sure come in handy.

I don’t understand why anyone would want this feature. When the weather sucks, you walk to your car in it, you are usually glad just to get into the car because it’s already better inside the car than it was outside it, even if the temperature was the same. And since you are most likely already wearing a coat, it shouldn’t be a problem. Seems to me that a garage with a door opener would be more useful than pre-heating your car.

That’s what I want to do again. We had those on our old cars but
not on the new ones. Even with all of the built-in theft devices the
thieves can still steal the cars. A hidden kill switch for the ignition
works good, but if they can’t steal the car they might just rip off the radio. crybaby2.gif
