I got this from eBay today. 1:18 scale 2003 Mustang Cobra in Sonic Blue

    1_18_2003_mustang_cobra_blue.jpg

Hot Wheels also released a 2005 Mustang GT 1:18 diecast model with aftermarket wheels. The quality is slightly less than the Auto Art version but I have no intention of paying $75.00 for the Auto Art version when I can get this at $25.00

Very nice Mike, that should make a good edition to your collection! thumbsup.gif

Thank you sir. Blue is my favorite color. When it comes time for a new ride I’m hoping that they offer the Shelby Cobra in Midnight Blue. icon_cool.gif

That would be a nice one. A request I would like to put out there – if you ever see a 1956 Ford Thunderbird Peacock Blue – I’ve never seen a model in that color and I would love to have one

I’ll check my sources. I’m sure someone made that model in the trim you are looking for at some point. thumbsup.gif

My 6th grade teacher had a real one she bought brand new. That was the first car I ever really noticed. I wasn’t too thrilled about her, but the car was a beauty! WOW!!!!!!

Great looking diecast. You can’t beat the prices these days on diecasts. I have bought a number at swap meets only to find I can get the same for half the price at a different location.

That’s how it always works – you buy it and then immediately after you find it somewhere else for cheaper

Along the way I also came across a work in progress diecast model of a Mustang and a Talladaga. The real world look appears to be more of seller.

    Looks cool! thumbsup.gif icon_cheers.gif

BTW did you ever find a 1956 Tbird model in the blue color we talked about above?

So far no luck G. The best I was able to find was a 2002 model in powder blue but I’m not giving up. I sent in a couple of inquiries and one seller even referred me to a guy who will paint it to the car color of your liking. He’s kinda steep but I know there has to be a seller out there that markets the car in the color you’re asking for.

G do you have a preference on the scale of the model? I found a set of 6 T-Birds in various colors including the one you are looking for at a price of $33.99.
