I got this from eBay today. 1:18 scale 2003 Mustang Cobra in Sonic Blue

Hot Wheels also released a 2005 Mustang GT 1:18 diecast model with aftermarket wheels. The quality is slightly less than the Auto Art version but I have no intention of paying $75.00 for the Auto Art version when I can get this at $25.00

Thanks a lot Mike!!! I’ve been looking forever for that model, I’ve never ever seen one in that color even at all the swap meets. Strange considering how popular a color it is.

Edit, had the window open for awhile and didn’t see your last post.

THANK YOU MIKE!!! It seems kind of strange that they have 6 of them for 33.99 (or am I just reading it wrong)? Is there some kind of catch like they are very small or something?

The scale is at 1/24 so I am estimating that it is about four inches shorter and two inches thinner than the 1/18 scale models. They’re larger than Hot Wheels but smaller than the types of models that you would see at GTO Man’s place.

Hm… That’s what I was afraid of when I saw the 1/24th scale. Too bad they don’t offer a 1/18th scale model.

Thanks again for the link Mike, you’ve solved the mystery!!! icon_cheesygrin.gif thumbsup.gif jumpy.gif

    Mike,

That link that you found actually is a 6 piece set of 1957 Tbids. The blue one I’m looking for is a 1956! I did find this link:
    http://www.collectablediecast.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=901

However it doesn’t have a picture so you don’t know what colors you get. I guess its back to searching

I noticed the detail on that isn’t all that great and it is made by MotoMax which isn’t the best in diecast detail. I’m curious to see if Auto Art has it.

Well let me know if you find a place, I’ll jump at the opportunity to get one!

    G use this search link:

    http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/page/search18.html

I used it and the best I could find was a 55 and a 57 T-Bird in the color you are looking for. He also has 56 T-Birds but none in the color you are looking for.

Thanks Mike! I played around with that search for awhile but never could get a 1956 to come up.
