All I can say is WOW!
I had a great drive out to Fort Atkinson tonight. Drove by Rev Jim’s at about 5:50 and saw 3 cars in lot. Drove threw Cambridge and the burn-out marks were still on the ground from the power tour.
Drove into Fort Atkinson and saw a sea of cars in the park! They had a bunch of folks in yellow vests to direct cars in to park them and wave to you and thank you on the way out.
I started to count the cars and saw the lady at the entry had a counter. So at 6:30 I asked her how many she had. 266 but she pointed to another lot where there where some more cars, tractors and bikes. So I walked over to check it out. There I found another 20 cars/trucks, 30 tractors, 25 bikes, 1 RV and 1 Fire Engine.
And the cars were still rolling in! They easily had over 300 cars tonight. Amazing!
The Big Bar guy was there along with folks grilling burgers and brats. 3D sound was there with 2 vans setup in different locations. Six Hooter ladies were making the rounds taking photos and promoting the Hooters cruise-in in Janesville.
Awesome selection for cars including many Good Guys type of Rods, tuners, muscle and rare cars. My favorite was a 1941 Willy with a flip fiberglass front end that had a Dodge Wedge engine in; photo below (this car has to have been recently done because it looked perfect and had July 2010 WI plates on it)
I think this cruise happens again next month. This show is one to hit at least once a summer.
