I’m brand new to this website but I heard it was a good website to find out about how good carshows are in the area. I just finished rebuilding my car and I was wondering what some of the best shows to go to that are left for this year? I want to go to a show that is worth the time for me to drive out there. I am willing to go anywhere in Wisconsin. Any suggestions? Thanks

Spring Green coming up, always a big show and fun time.
August 15, 2009 at 3:03 pm #35184circletrackParticipantWelcome! What type of car do you have? It’s always a great feeling to see a project reach that final stage.
I would agree on Spring Green and also add the Pardeeville car show is a great one too. Check out the calendar, you’ll find plenty left to do this summer!
August 17, 2009 at 12:44 am #35185GaribaldiKeymasterWelcome to the forum! I hope you find the site useful and let us know if you have any questions or comments. We have a lot of knowledgeable members on the site who can tell you which shows they like in Wisconsin. I also like Spring Green and Pardeeville, which were already mentioned. The Beloit Autorama show is also very good – over 1000 cars.
We have a couple places you can look for show reviews. The best place is Rate The Show. This is where members post their ratings and reviews of shows. We have a new Rate The Show system this year and in previous years we have Rate The Show topics which can be found here or by using the search function on the forum. Moreover, if you’re looking to see what a show looks like in terms of location and attendance, the http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/photogallery/index.php]Photo Gallery has photos from many shows. I hope this helps and welcome!
August 18, 2009 at 1:45 am #35204GTO ManModeratorWelcome to the forum. There are shows all the way into early October.
A couple of shows that come to mind that haven’t been mentioned are Platteville on September 13th and Beloit on September 20th.

August 26, 2009 at 12:48 pm #35182XmanParticipantShould be a good one tomorrow night.
The “Hot August Night” car cruise will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m.
The event will feature custom cars, hot rods, street rods, mods, antiques, classic cars and more.
Sponsored by the Sun Prairie downtown Business Improvement District (BID). the cruises are held for fun.
In addition to cars, Market Street Diner will be selling grilled brats and burgers and pie.
The Sassy Cow Creamery will be selling homemade root beer floats.
For additional information please contact John Weishar at 608-235-8475.

Boy the info for this show changes faster then I can change my underwear. I now see it says:
Note: Plan on arriving not earlier than 5:45 PM. Street does not close until 5:45 PM. Everyone is invited. Bring your family and friends for a fun night out in Sun Prairie.

All this confusion is making my head hurt, so I called Mr. Weishar. He said you can start arriving at 5:45pm (that’s when the city will let him close the street), and the event is from 6-9pm. The Sun Prairie Business Improvement District is putting this on, without the help of any car club, despite any info that was posted saying the Wisconsin Summer Cruisers was hosting this event. There is no awards, as this is a cruise-in style event.
I know cirlcetrack had also checked this info and edited it in the Car Show Calendar, and then it was re-edited by someone else. Thank You Rachael for your effort and clearing things up I would also like to thank Xman on his efforts to help get things cleared up
I would like to ask that any info posted regarding any show or cruise night be accurate so we don’t get this kind of confusion in the future. There have been many conflicting reports about Hot August Nights, and this much confusion could cause a member or guest of this forum to not attend such an event. It would also be a good idea to post a contact name and number/email with any event on the calendar.

August 27, 2009 at 4:16 am #35263GTO ManModeratorI called John Weishar earlier tonight. I asked him specifically about the Wisconsin Summer Cruisers and their involvement.
The Sun Prairie Business Improvement District is putting on this show, but the Wisconsin Summer Cruisers are giving them help. This is directly what John Weishar said. If you have any doubts or confusion about this show, please call him directly at 608-235-8475. There is no need for further speculation in this topic since any questions can be most directly and clearly answered by him or using contact information on the event.
