Ok here’s a new type of game. List a few lyrics from a song and then someone tries to guess what it is.

“that certain kind of grace that you love because you become somone else in an instant.”

    Hint: Bugsie probably knows this

Ok, here’s a new challenge for you. Name the song title, artist, and the piece of literature that it was based off of!

    Here goes:
    Until she herself
    Became the deadliest poison
    As she grew older
    Ooh, until she herself
    Became just as fatal
    As was her garden

Running Through the Garden by Fleetwood Mac, inspired often from Oscar Wilde and Edgard Allan Poe…
But for this one : inspired by “Rappaccini’s Daughter” by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

It is a very “powerful song” in its words.
I have had an amazing American Literature teacher : he was a Vietnam officer Veteran, biker, and a kind of a rock music historian as well…

    Wow! I’m amazed!!! icon_eek.gif icon_eek.gif Great job! jumpy.gif

Have you read Rappaccini’s Daughter? Its an interesting story. When I heard the Mac song I thought “this sounds familiar” and then it dawned on me.

I’ve got another one like that, name the title, artist, and reference to literature.

    Here it is:
And I think it’s gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I’m not the man they think I am at home

Unfortunately, I haven’t read it all : I have studied parts of it, extracts and I remembered those words like bells’ sounds.
Some words put together are like puzzles, mixing complicated and simple significances to obtain masterpiece meanings.

The new one is kind of familiar to me too, but I am not too sure for now… The day might tell me icon_wink.gif

Elton John : Rocket Man icon_cool.gif
… But still not sure about the reference to literature…
