Help identifying this radiator cap!

We received an email from someone who has an old radiator cap and would like to know what car it is off of and how much it might be worth. Here’s what she wrote:

Because you are familiar with a variety of old cars, I’m wondering if you have any info on an old radiator cap…it has a soldier in dress uniform(in L. hand held over his chest, it looks like it might have held a flag, which is no longer there…in his R. arm is down and he’s holding his revolver pointed down next to the holster)…a belted jkt./pant/cap style hat with sm. brim and the soldier is standing on outstretched wings…it is metal and silver in color…have you seen anything like this? I would like to know it’s history and also approx. value, as I plan to sell it…thanks for your time and efforts

How nice to get several replies….as to montefrazer…I had gone to that website in surfing, but went in again since he suggested it(in case I missed something), but to no avail…this is an old radiator cap, that much I know, and the metal has the look of pewter… also I do know the gentleman I got it from migrated from Norway and bought his first car in Attica, N.Y., so I thought maybe it was on that car, as this would have been in the mid-1900’s(don’t know if this has any significance, as he is deceased). As to circletrack…my husband doubts that it is locomotive, because he thinks that it is the size that once was used to cap a car radiator. I truly do appreciate the input, as either of these may have been the lead that solved the puzzle…your club has some very nice people to take the time to assist me…thanks for sharing this info
