Although Mike hasn’t been active on the forum in a long time, he’s still uploading pictures every now and then. Thanks Mike for the photos from this latest show!

Where was this held? Beautiful cars! That Mustang was at the Blanchardville show ~ easily a $400-500k car!

I would assume this is somewhere close to where Mike lives, which I believe is Atlanta, Georgia unless he moved back to Texas. If that is the same mustang as at the Blanchardville show then it made a great trek to come here!

If it’s not, it looks very close. The car has been in Summit and on the cover of Jegs.

I’ve been sending Mike some emails but he hasn’t responded yet, I wish he would give us a bit more information about the show!

    Edit,

Take a look at the picture of his award:

    It was in Willowbrook, TX

I could be mistaken but the Mustang appears to me to have the design of Unique Performance. A company near Dallas, TX that not only builds Mustangs, especially clones of the 1967 Mustang (Ellenor) used in the movie gone it 60 seconds. Depending on options I believe they price out at around $140,000.00. Carroll Shelby is associated with Unique Performance. They also build Mopars and Camaros. There is a 2005 Mustang in the Stoughton area that resembles the Mustang in the photo. Not sure who built it but it is really a nice ride.

The Mustang I’m referring to is Roush from top to bottom and worth clearly more than that. Now that I’ve refreshed my memory, the cars are different. Both very nice!

Mike did visit the forum last night but unfortunately didn’t post. I hope he will soon so he can shed some light on this mystery

Not knowing to much about Mustangs, I am pretty confident neither of the two mustangs were produced by Roush. I have spoken with the owner of the 2005 earlier this year and his Mustang, if my memory is correct, was not built by Roush. The Texas Stang still looks to me as a Unique Performance product but I am probably wrong. One thing about the 05 Mustang that really was impressive was the fuel injection. Very unique. I hope a true Mustang person can give us some updated information or hopefully the owner of the 05 visits the forum and tells us more about his great car. I really would like to know.

I was parked in the same class as the Mustang at the Blanchardville show and most everything on that car was Roush. I never said it was built by Roush, it was built using those parts and more.

There needs to be special classes for cars like that, the average Joe can never compete. Thankfully the judges recognized that fact and gave him awards separate from his class.

I agree. That Mustang is a very special car. You know the more I think about it I remember the gentleman that owns the car told me that he had it built after his wife told him she didn’t like the 05 GT Conv. he bought her. Go figure. The fuel delivery system was really different. I would not want to have to paid to have it repair. I have never seen one like it on a Mustang.
