Hey Circletrack, could you provide some more details about this event? First, does this mean there will be no annual show at Mt. Horeb?

This show was previously hosted by Firehouse Bar and Grill, held in Mt. Horeb at Grundahl Park

Also, is this show also the Road Apples show, or are you having a seperate one for them?

Will there be any door prizes at the VFW show?

It certainly is a great location and I think that is a good time of year too, not quite so hot.

Andrew ~ yes, the show has been moved from Mt. Horeb and will be held at the VFW from now on. They decided to change dates due to the heat in July, and not being able to get a later date. Lance also feels there is a big draw for cars in the Madison area and there is no reason not to have a show in our own backyard. This show is not affiliated with the Road Apples, I’m not sure what we have planned for this year quite yet.

As in the past with the Mt. Horeb show, I’m certain there will be door prizes. The show is basically just like the Firehouse Bar & Grill show but with different sponsors and location. Should be a great time!

Thanks for the info! I have always enjoyed the Mt. Horeb show, one thing especially that I noticed last year was the interesting selection of music. Not only did they play the usual stuff that is at most car shows but also some other classic rock stuff that I enjoy – ie Dire Straits, The Who, and Elton John.

I agree with what Lance said, I think there is a very big call for shows in and around Madison. I think the past successes of the Klassarama show prove this and I think that fact combined with the success you’ve had previous years at Mt. Horeb is going to make this a very fun show this August!! blob1.gif icon_cheers.gif

Thanks for the updates, Circletrack. This certainly clears up the questions about the Mt. Horeb show. Personally, I like the VFW setting even better. I am fortunate, then, to have attended last years Mt. Horeb show for the first and last time. I would agree that the VFW location will pull in a larger number of cars.

Sounds like it should be a good show, lots of planning behind it.
