    How do you think the current oil/fossil fuel situation will affect the automotive industry in the future? We have already seen a change with the muscle cars due to oil, what do you think will be some more effects in the future? Will all cars have to convert to hydrogen or some other type of fuel, and if so how will this hinder/help their performance?

    When you see how average gas mileage figures being lower today then they were 10-15 years ago, I blame the auto industry. I figure that the average should have gone up 20% in that time frame.

    Agreed. Considering they had a prototype electric car that could get up to 70 mph in the 70s – that alone shows how much they could have improved current technology and raised MPG as well as combined it with other power sources.

    @ Hoyboy – I see the same problem here
