    So how close do you get?

    I usually try to stay three or four car lengths back in normal traffic. In rush hour I may be two or three back. I never try to tailgate. Not worth the stress.

    Generally 4, I hate it when people tailgate me so I try to never do it

    Depends on the speed.

    Parked: none
    Anything above 0 – at least one length per 10 MPH.

    Depends on how fast I am going, I try to leave one car length for every 10 mph. Tailgaters are idiots.
