We should start a section for show and shine tips where we can talk about car show detailing, and what products we like/dislike to use on our collectors.

I think it would be very helpful to a lot of people on the forum if we were able to interact with this!

    Whaddya think?

What gave me the idea was I spent a portion of the day today detailing my truck. The last time I did any wax was last winter, and with that I hit a hard coat of polish beforehand. I washed it a few times this summer, and it still beads up nice. Along with that, i drive this thing everyday and it rarely sits outside overnight. I was expecting to have to break out the clay bar, but I was really surprised how smooth the hood and roof still felt. I decided im putting off the wax treatment awhile longer yet as the water still really beads up nice. I used a polish called nanocare from Malco and Regulars Gold Class wax the last I did it.

Anybody want to guesshow many miles i have on this 7 year old beauty? It is by far the best truck I’ve ever owned!

Here’s one for y’all. I learned this from a judge for NCCRS.

Use a long handle (12″) artist brush to get into areas that are difficult to reach

I created a section for auto detailing, it is under index. Working to get it to come up under recent topics. Below is a link to a car wax topic I created.

Great idea! This could be really helpful for:
    – reviewing well-known products that most people like but those new to the hobby don’t know about yet
    – reviewing/comparing new products that come out on the market – a couple different people could try them out and report back their results
