Rats! I won’t be online very much for a while.

About ten years ago I developed CTD (Cumulative Trauma Disorder) from too much keyboarding. Then I ended up in physical therapy to help solve the problem. Well, guess what? The CTD symptoms are beginning to return. So, if you don’t hear from me much for the next few weeks/months you know the reason why.

If you have pain in your hand(s), arm(s) or back, you might have CTD too.

Don’t you really mean Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Yep, my neck, left shoulder and left arm (I use the mouse with
    my left hand).

It started during the winter when we can’t get outside much.

Now it’s slowly getting better with all of the projects and
heavy lifting, remodeling and MUCH yard work!

It is a very real problem. From using the keyboard at work my thumb can go numb at times. I believe that is the start of carpal tunnel.

I was officially diagnosed with CTD by a leading neurologist in my area. However, everyone is different. Tennis Elbow or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can also be suspect. Just remember this, pain and/or numbness isn’t a good thing. If you experience either/both, get to a doctor ASAP.

At work I babysit 5 or 6 computer fo forty hours a week. Then I come home and play around for a few more hours. My home desktop has a trackball which makes things a whole lot easier, but the work machines aren’t ergonomic and use a standard mouse or a pointer. Those are the ones that give me truly give me problems.

Anyway, I’m a bit better but I still plan on cutting back on the internet surfing for my own good.

What you need is one of those chip implants that lets you type by thinking! That’s the solution!

On a serious note I do hope it continues to get better. I have on occasion noticed a slight pain in my wrists, I’m planning on getting a good ergonomic keyboard, at least something that is down lower
