I’ve seen a lot more of those antenna hubs on new cars then antenna rods. Is that the new trend? It seems like on new models a rod antenna is very hard to find.

That could be, I mean with the new ones you don’t have to worry about them breaking off as much as well as you probably get better reception with this new tech

I guess Jack In The Box will have to find something other than antenna toppers to give away. blob8.gif

What’s a rod antenna? Is that the kind that raises up by itself, or is it always up but really long?

    I’ve got this antenna:

From Bath I can pick up Fox FM – the local radio station in OXFORD! That’s really good going. Couldn’t do it with the original tuner in my car, but the JVC is a lot more powerful. Still, it’ll have a fair bit to do with the antenna, so I’d say they’re pretty good.

A Road Atenna is an antenna that sticks up from the car.

I hope note, I like the old road antennas, I am used to them, Call me old fashioned.

THe new ones probably pull in a better signal. Very few if any on new cars.

Now its either the new antennas or satellite radio, both are the future

I love my XM satellite radio, but XM and Sirius are both losing millions of dollars every year. XM needs about 20 million more subscribers just to break even. So I sometimes wonder if they’ll be around much longer.

Some of the cars I drive where I work have XM. It reminds me of my days of driving with just AM. Long time ago, I’m showing my age again. w00t.gif When I’m in a parking structure, it dies. No signal.

I don’t listen to the radio all that much, either Tape/CD, AM (For Traffic), or CB Radio those keep my awake while driving.

How many customers do both currently have?
