I have a 1969 Chevelle SS and I keep having an issue with one of my spark plug boots melting through. The boot is not touching the header but it is tight quarters in there. Does anyone have a suggestion. I do not want to wrap my headers though. This is the 3rd boot and Im getting tired of this…………………………..

    Wrap your headers.

Moroso also sells wires with “high temp boots”. They have a silver color to them. I had them on my old heads (straight plugs) and didn’t have any issues. My new mill has angle plug heads which gave me plenty of clearance.

    X2.
I use these on mine for last 6-7 years.
    Think I have “Taylor” brand.

    There are 2 different styles….

1 is for assembling your own wires, they go on first and have a smaller opening that will not clear the boots.

The other has larger openings, and are made to slide over pre-assembled wires.

for example: TAY-2560 on Summit’s page
    That’s set of 8 black.
Different colors available, and can buy individuals too.
