property taxes to be lowered the same percentage as house values have fallen.

They raised our assessments here in Marshfield with the BS story that “it was long overdue”. Ya know what’s next don’t ya.

The assessment on my house went down 6.5% but the taxes will still keep going up. Madison used to be somewhat insulated from issues like this, but along with crime, drugs and everything else it has caught up with the rest of the nation, and not in a good way.

in Monona our assessment droped .02% , taxes as a whole went DOWN 9.7 %.Even Dane county portion went DOWN by the same 9.7%.Hard to believe, but True!
