Is anyone going to any of the big auctions next month? Mecum is planning on running 3500 cars across the block in Kissimmee, Florida on January 3 – 13. They have an auction December 6 – 8 in Kansas City.
Barrett Jackson takes place January 12 – 20 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Russo and Steele January 16 – 20.
RM Sotheby’s takes place January 18 – 19 in Phoenix, AZ.
Bonham’s Scottsdale Auction is January 17.
Gooding & Company will be in Scottsdale January 18 and 19 for their auction.

I’m gonna try and watch a portion of the Mecum Auction on TV. I like to preview the cars online on Mecum’s website before the auction, and follow a few across the auction block to see how close I was to the actual auction price. Lately, I’ve been following Plymouth Dusters and Dodge Demons (1970 – 1974). Turns out, these cars are now pretty rare and bring big money at the auctions.
Another collector car doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen in the near term. I don’t mind sharing my financials……
