I was able to attend the Mecum Kissimmee today and wow there were a lot of cars! This past fall I was able to attend the Mecum Chicago Show too. The big differences was at the Chicago show they allow you to walk through the bidder area, but not so much at the Kissimmee auction … also the top cars in Kissimmee are in a different building then where the auction block is at … and the cars that actually are sold are in a fenced in area that only folks that are registered bidders can look at them (this was kissimmee … kinda sucks, because you might have watched a deal sell and you want to check the car out to see if it really was a deal…
There were a couple of cars inside that had ipads playing videos of the car driving around (an interesting way of marketing your car).

It looks like the auctions are getting so big that while just attending you are limited in where you can go. That makes sense though considering the number of registered bidders.
There are a handful of items for sale tomorrow but as of the end of day Saturday 55.1 million dollars have been sold as Mecum ….
NBC showed its true colors today … the taped delayed 1 hour special was suppose to be 60 minutes today … it was delayed 60 minutes due to the hockey game before, and then they only showed 30 minutes of the program so they could show a rugby game …
I hope Mecum is reading the fine print in their contract …
I watched this and had one question – how can a vehicle be unrestored if its been repainted? They announced at least two cars as unrestored that had been resprayed.
