Yesterday I took my ’36 Chevy out from it’s winter nap; it is stored in my home garage over the winter in the single stall of a 3 car garage.
The good news is after a few cranks on the starter she fired right up; bad news is for the second year in row I had mice get into the car and they did a number on the headliner and the door combing; I need an upholsterer within the southern WI range to get it repaired or replaced; looking for suggestions.
Also I am looking for a dry and varmit free place to store the car next winter; seems like I cannot keep them out of the car in my garage.
I had well over 40 cotton balls soaked in peppermint oil scattered all over the interior and at possible openings that they may get in (along the door; etc.) I was told it would keep them out; NOT. Last year I tried drye sheets; they took them and shredded them up and made nests out of those.
When I cleaned up the mess they left behind this year I did not find one single cotton ball inside of that car.
Thanks for any help and or suggestions.
