You know, this has been a question as of late, I think I need to clear a few things up.
To answer your question, No, I am not a member of the Road Apples Car Club. I have not been an official member since my term as club secretary ended a few years ago. I enjoyed being a club official, but I did what I felt all politicians should do – serve my time and get out. I have many friends who are active club members. I try to attend as many RA events as possible, but it is hard with my time consuming schedule. I feel the RA put on one of the best car shows ever this year, have the best cruise night offered during the week, and not only do the boast a high club membership, they have been a fully functional club since 2004 when certain people stepped down, as they left on there own accord due to not getting things there way. You may hear that someone was ‘forced’ out of the club, this is not the case but I’m sure if I didn’t know any better I would believe it also.
A dear friend of mine has who is a member of the RA has put up with a lot of BS the past few years. That person is also the same person who has been very strong and poured there soul into that car club all while raising two children and maintaining a marriage to another great induvidual. Running any organization is hard work, but when I see someone’s hard work get sabotaged I get pissed off. As of late, my friend has been reprimanded by the Administrators of this forum for merely stating the honest facts. But as its been proven, the facts don’t mean jack squat. Its also true that as of late the lurkers rule this asylum, as those who don’t post have all the pull, and those that do post catch all the flack.
As one of those induviduals who seems to catch some flack for his opine, I don’t really care who thinks what of my opinion because it is just that – my opinion.
I read the email sent to my friend about false info today, and reading this email my name was mentioned. Further reading into this email, I understand its the impression of the Administrators that I am a liar, so let me clear this up – I did call John from the BID. I even told him my name, so it wasn’t anonymus. For the record, I called him at 4:50 pm on Weds 8/26. Our conversation lasted 2 minutes and 25 seconds. I clearly asked him if any local car clubs were apart of this event and he told me “no”. Not only are cellphones handy, but they are also great to back up any case. I’m a lot things to a lot of people, an a–hole being one of the top five, but a liar I am not. I would rather a person know my true feelings and be upset instead of me either lie to them, or have them lurk around in the shadows and find out otherwise. Those that know the real me know what I’m about. Those that think they know me view me as an arrogant, mouthy, inconsiderate little bastard who’s daddy buys him his cars… you know who you are. Yes, I can be arrogant. Yes, I have a mouth that acts before my brain sometimes. No, I am not inconsiderate, my mommy raised me better than that. And finally No, my daddy don’t buy my cars, I do. Those that know me know this. I’m a grown man for Pete’s sake!
As I bid farewell to posting on this forum until things change, or truth sets most of you free, I will say that I have no hard feelings towards the Administrators. I consider you both a great asset to the collector car and car show community. I have made many friends and aquaintances here that I wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for this forum, along with a few enemies too  I can’t stand to sit here at my PC and watch these events any more, nor will I induldge myself into “bending over” and eating my opine.
Best of luck to you all,
Zac Johnson (Moparkid25)
