Madison is getting short-changed by the school aid formula.

Madison 24000 students 53,000,000

Milwaukee 87000 students 561,000,000

Green Bay 23000 students 123,000,000

Eau Claire 10000 students 58,000,000

The formula is outdated and unfair. Madison should be getting approximately 150,000,000.

Madison is looking at a $30 million shortfall in school funding. This would cost the average homeowner another $300 in property taxes. They better start looking at what needs to be cut because expecting homeowners to come up with that amount is unacceptable. Start cutting the administration where most of the waste is.

Yes. Have you noticed how a majority of the kids coming out of these schools have no hands on experience? More and more schools are cutting tech programs, when they should be adding them. There are too many educators and teachers who aren’t very savvy themselves, and too many teaching there own agenda’s. Unfortunately its always been that way, but now would be a good time to “clean house”.
