Just a few highlights as to what’s going on with MMRJR.

The home computer and network crashed and burned about a week ago. I have updated to a 2Wire Gateway and have the computers up and running again, so I will resume posting whenever I can. I ended up purchasing a Dell Dimension to replace the old desktop, but am still having some compatability issues with the sound and printer cable.

I am really pleased with the speed and efficiency of the AT&T 2 Wire Gateway (combination of modem and router). Also, I have been really pleased with Tech Support for Dell and AT&T. I was on the phone this morning with Dell Tech Support at 2AM.

I am still thrilled with my first trophy (a 3d place finish in the Mustang class at Edgerton last week). I really am beginning to feel that I have brought the Fastback up to the next level now.

My major project/work under the hood is backed up now until late August or early September. But, I am in the process of purchasing the needed replacement parts. I didn’t know that a refurbished Autolite 4100 carburetor could cost so much money w00t.gif

I hope to see most of you guys tomorrow at the Mount Horeb show. Don’t forget to bring your easy-up and lots of sunscreen and water.

Glad to hear you have the network going again. Sounds like a nice system. Your car is one of the nicest in the area. Sounds like you will be able to get to a few more shows before the car is off the road. Did you win a trophy at Mt Horeb? I left about 3, it was just getting too hot. What time did they give out the trophies?

They were at least 30 minutes late handing out trophies (4:30 or so).

I did not win anything at this show, and I really hadn’t planned to. There was a minimal number of classes and I put the mustang in a factory stock (1961 to 1966) class and there were many, many nicer cars.

Circletrack brought home a Best Paint Award and several other Road Apples brought home trophies, as well as several Wisconsin Summer Cruisers.

It certainly was hot, though, wasn’t it?

Hot is definitely the word! blob8.gif We were fortunate to get a spot with shade but walking around and looking at the cars really was a daunting task in that heat! Lots of very nice cars there.

Congrats to everyone who won! :salut:

Marshall, when is your car going in? Some nice shows coming up in the next month or so.

Yeah, I know. My timing may not have been perfect, but it has been a great year so far, and I am looking forward to bigger and better things next year. In looking at my personal calendar, I hope to get to the Stoughton Show, and the Pardeeville Show. There are others that I would like to attend, but I am not counting on the car being available. Besides, I have some other small projects going at the same time (windshield and rear window chrome trim polishing/replating, rear fold down seat trim replacement or replating, etc) that will keep me occupied. Even without a car, I probably will still attend a couple of other shows as a spectator.
