This isn’t going to answer your question, but I have one for you.
Do you have Netflix?
Over the next 5-10 years, DVDs will be phased out and you’ll be able to order up on-demand movies, online and pipe them into your TV.
Netflixs already has 12,000 movies and TV shows you can watch online (unlimited). I can hook my laptop up to my TV for DVD quality movies. Several of the new blueray players have this function too. That is you plug them into your modem and you can download a movie from Netflixs. That means the manufactures know it is coming, and it is only a mater of time before DVD’s (even blueray) die.

And you can get traditional DVDs from Netflix’s too.
You may want to pick a larger package, say 3 movies out at once for a month and then go to smaller package (in the spring), or cancel it. I have the 2 movies per month deal. Costs me $5.26. No gas to burn going to blockbuster, and I can look up and watch the preview online before i put it in my cue…
Netflix has a distribution center in Madison. Typically, if I drop a DVD in the mail to ship back I have my next one 2 days later (drop in the mailbox Monday and Wednesday I have my replacement).
Once you set up an account you can set up a cue of the flixs you want, in the order you want them.
It might be a nice gift for the whole Family (gather around the Computer and let everyone Pick a favorite movie…).
