at least 450 hp450 ftlbs of tq
the new engine produces 400+ ftlbs of torque from 2000 rpm and on (50 ftlbs more than before from idle to 4000 rpm) and has a much wider peak hp curve than before. combine all this with AFM and it puts the much more complex and expensive ecoboost in a very awkward position.
in the base c7 vette with this engine gm claims the 0-60 will be sub 4 seconds, rivaling that of the current c6 z06.
the same mag that accurately predicted this engine, also predicted that the revised 7.0 will have 570 hp, and the supercharged version of the new 6.2 will have around 700 hp! still speculation of course, but if it comes to fruition, were in for a wild ride!
