I’ve added some automotive related ads to the upper-right side of the forum. What do you think? These rather than being annoying flashy banners actually advertise an automotive product or car – something useful. Your thoughts?

Makes more sense for a car forum. Good switch. :)

I don’t mind flashy stuff that much. If anything gets too annoying I just use adblock to either block a site/image or iframe icon_punk.gif

if I click anything will I get commision? w00t.gif thumbsup.gif

Good point, I love FF for features like that. My stats show that around 70% of the people who visit use IE though and they don’t have access to adblock

I just installed a great FF extension that allows you to use FF to view pages using the IE engine

it also takes is a simple click to fast switch. I see very little point in ever firing up IE again now I’ve got this handy extension icon_punk.gif

    this is my post

I’ve seen extensions that allow you to view pages within FF but using the IE engine. I thought I had it but maybe that was in my old install of FF before I installed 1.0.7 again last month. I’ve just installed this extension and it works pretty well from a few tests just now

I can either right click any link and view it within FF but use the IE engine. It gives 4 options, open in new FF window, open in FF tab, open in IE or open in otehr broswer. You can also set it to do it by default by either specifying a domain or even just a specific link

an example is that I could just use it when viewing topics by adding this link with

I don’t really need to as the scroll bars ain’t that bad but the best feature of all is a little icon in the bottom right of the status bar. It has either the IE or FF icon to show which engine you are using. By simply clicking it, it reloads the page and switches engines within a fraction of a second. You can also use the click on the scroll wheel to open the alternate engine page in a new tab

absolutely awesome extension by the looks of things and if you don’t already have it then I fully recommend it to those who like to use FF more than IE :yeah:

IEtab works pretty well for me too. I don’t see these ads you speak of though.

I think I read your post before, I recently installed this extension, its great!!! I rarely use IE either and this is even better, now its just much more convenient to fire it up inside FF. I also use the sessionsaver extension, have you tried that? Its really handy for saving open tabs after closes and crashes
