New Seasons of Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and BSG

I’m really excited for the new seasons. They will be starting on Friday Jan 6th at 7:00PM CST. Also this coming Monday there is a special on scifi about the new season of BSG, pretty interesting. Don’t miss it!!

Yeah, I’m getting a bit excited too. Thanks for mentioning the special – I didn’t know about it. I think TV Guide has an article about BSG, I’ll try to post it.

Here’s a link to the article I mentioned. I suggest you riight click the link then click “save target as…” (or something similar). Once you’ve done that you can print the 280k jpg image with your favorite software.

Friday’s episode of BSG was frakkin’ great! Emmy material, IMO. I can’t wait for part 2!!!!!!!!

Friday’s episode of Stargate SG-1 was frakking unbelieveable too!!! Wow, so very great!! Let me tell you why, although these are spoilers so beware:
[spoiler:fce741f855]Basically the plot was the Ori, ascended beings like the ancients, but they use their higher plane of existence to gain followers so they can get power by their loyalty to them – are invading our galaxy and we can’t stop them. This episode involved Gerak, the Jaffa leader, returning and being made a prior, servant of the Ori. It seems all is lost now for the Jaffa Nation. Meanwhile a prior plague has infected Earth and is rapidly spreading and we can’t stop it. Also Orlin returns to help, but by helping us and retaining his knowledge he does serious damage to his brain. Also SG-1 goes to test their new ultrasonic weapon that would inhibit the prior’s abilities – it finally works but the prior still won’t convert. He then somehow overcomes it and infects Landry with the virus.

This is the really good part – Gerak, who always seemed to not really have the best interests of the Jaffa in mind, is convinced by Teal’c that the Ori are bad. Gerak then comes to the SGC and cures everyone using his powers as a prior, even though he knows that will result in his immediate death. This was a fresh change because it showed significant character depth in Gerak, which is a great thing to have one the show. Plus it wasn’t just like Orlin and Sam found a cure, like always.
