So 157.5 miles and 4.5 gallons of gas I made it to Marshfield for the night (35MPG on the nose; and I’m at about 1000 miles since my last oil change and my oil is still a nice honey color; I think the oil bath air cleaner does a lot better job).

I went up 12 to the Dells, then jumped on the interstate for 20 miles and then turned off at Mauston to jump onto 80.

Gassed up in Marshfield, wiped off 4lbs of bugs and I’m ready to roll the 60 miles to Iola in the morning…..

I’ll add more pictures of the show tomorrow….

Looks like great driving weather. I’m heading up in the morning. Those cams can come in handy.

Day one down. Lots of vendors. Lots of cars and lots of cars still rolling in. I think I saw at least 10 semis with 3-5 cars on the trailers rolling on in. About 300 cars for sale with room for another 500. I saw several cars with under 40k miles for sale. Lots and lots of vendors with enough parts to make an army of rat rods.

I ran into RivMan while browsing some license plates.

I took off at about 2:30 and drove through the rain the last 20 minutes.

I’m planning on heading back tomorrow to at least check out the cars again….

    Enjoy the pictures!

This one was for sale, 1987, with 85k miles for 12,500 (I would buy MoparKid’s Camero before I would buy this one)

The owner of this car flew in and had his new car delivered on site and was planning on driving it home:

Interesting evolution of time where the cams showed thousands of people walking the Iola grounds yesterday and no one today. Time goes so fast when your doing something interesting and now back to the reality of work tomorrow.
