Painting a car with original type paint

Someone I know just recently purchased an original car from the early 50’s. He would like to get a little body work done, and in case any paint work needs to be done would like an original lacquer type paint used. Any recommendations on where to take it?

To my knowledge, one of the best painters/best painter in this part of the state is Steve McKenzie. Maybe this question/request should be directed to him or Circletrack.

I don’t know if todays auto painters are able/willing to work with lacquer or not. If the car is a vintage Ford model, there is a body man/painter located in Sauk City/Prairie du Sac that I would contact for further info.
