September 1, 2013 at 3:16 am #41915circletrackParticipantSteve & I were judges today, so I can’t comment on too much other than the music… I heard music I’ve never heard at car shows before and don’t expect to again anytime soon. It was different, that’s for sure, but I don’t think it was that terrible. He did a good job of keeping everyone entertained and worked hard with the kids, something you don’t see, he also played a very wide variety of music that I’m sure pleased several of the older crowd. It was a good show, I don’t know the final count but know it was over 750.

September 3, 2013 at 3:37 am #41932moparkid25ParticipantI have to agree with rustypup on the prayer bit. I am all for a church having a car show to benefit a charity, or raise money for the parish, but constant message or having participants and spectators feeling pressured into a belief is not right. I havent been to Pardeeville for two years now, but in years past a group prayer has always taken place before awards. I can do without. People have the right to believe and worship faith as they see fit, leave it at that. Nothing worse than a religious zealot that wont give up.
The Springdale Lutheran Church car show has no prayer session, nor is any higher power promoted during the show. Thats how it should be.

Pardeeville show features vintage vehicles, patriotism
September 3, 2013 at 2:23 pm #41917Blue55ChevyParticipantIt’s nice to hear that the Partyville show was again a huge success. The promoters and volunteers do an incredible job and turnout reflects that. I sure would like to see more pictures. Thanks Amigo2k for the ones you posted.
As most of you know we chose not to attend primarily because of the entertainment. I just couldn’t handle the “entertainment” for the third show this year.
Hopefully thru this forum and word of mouth our disappointments get back to show promoters, so that this type of “entertainment” does not fester and contaminate other shows.

With 750 cars/trucks at this years show, I would think that some of the classes were rather large. Did they hand out more than 3 awards in some of the larger classes?
September 3, 2013 at 9:26 pm #41934Blown69RSParticipantBlue55Chevy,,, here’s some more photos….
Hopefully this works…. doing it by mobile, so its 50/50…

September 3, 2013 at 11:56 pm #41918Blue55ChevyParticipantVery nice photo’s, as were last years, Blown69RS, thanks for sharing them.
What are you using for a camera and does it take a rocket scientist to operate it.

Thanks much…
The camera is a little point’n’shoot Panasonic Lumix (DMC-FH27). 16meg sensor, decent optical zoom… nothing really all that fancy. Takes almost nothing to figure it out… at least for your normal photos. I’ve never used probably 90% of what its capable of doing. Its 2 (maybe even 3) years old now.The current equivalent replacement model is around $350, but has a bunch of non-needed price raising features like wifi, etc… I’ll hold onto this one till it poops out on me…

September 4, 2013 at 3:08 am #41919circletrackParticipantBlown69 – did you get an award this year? I couldn’t hear most of what was given away, it was great to see you make the trip again!

Brought a friend with me…. he scored on his 1st try…Award or none… wouldn’t matter. Cooperative car, and I’ll be back.
We talked to Vicky (sp?) for a while on Friday, Jim on Saturday…. and another very nice guy who was a founder of the show (he BS’ ed with us for what must’ve been almost an hour at the park on Friday)… unbelievable how nice everyone is to us at the show. You guys should never take that show or group of people for granted… they are a rare exception to how a lot of organizers are.. Maybe there are some issues that aren’t perfect, but they appear to genuinely care and try to do the right thing. Exceptional show, people, cars, etc…
