Nice pics Ryan!!
Zac… I also asked for pie that was listed on the board, but not there.. What was even more disappointing was my second choice was bad ~ nothing worse than a bad piece of pie!
September 5, 2010 at 6:19 pm #37050AnonymousInactiveRyan, Thank you for including a picture of my car in your sample. You’ve done this a couple of times in the past, so I guess it’s not random.
Much appreciated.
I keep looking for you sitting behind your car to say hi, but apparently you don’t sit around much.
ghSeptember 5, 2010 at 9:28 pm #37051Amigo2kModeratorThis time I sat out in front of my car by the GTO Judge. And you are right, it is not the first time I’ve snap a photo of your car (it is a nice one!).
September 6, 2010 at 12:41 pm #37052AnonymousInactiveI will respond to the posting by Don, if I may.
I judged class CC, and I was the only judge in that class. So, your comments are directed at me. I judged each and every car in that class, consistently from car to car and fairly from car to car. I can tell you that there were 30+ newer or new Mustangs in that class, approximately 10 new Challengers and/or Chargers, approximately 6 new or newer Corvettes and an assortment of trucks, 2003 and newer, to include pick-ups and two Chevy SSR’s. Originally, the plan was to award 3 Best Of awards in this class, but based on the large number of entrants, it was upped to 5 Best Of awards at the end of the show.
The top 5 cars in that class scored 100, 99, and three cars tied at 98. The 100 point car (yes it was a Mustang) was a very, very limited edition 2010 California Dealer’s Edition Shelby GT (1 of 2 produced) with less than 300 miles on the odometer. Yes, it was driven to the show and not trailered. It was detailed flawlessly. The other four top cars in that class were also near perfect cars, and detailed to judged show standards.

I would encourage you to contact Jim or Vicki and request a copy of your car’s judging sheet and see what your car scored this year.
Next year, why don’t you step up and volunteer to judge a class and then maybe you can rethink your comments about the correctness and accuracy of this years judging.
September 6, 2010 at 1:58 pm #37053AnonymousInactiveI want to thank MMRJR for responding to my post, I think we both did as gentlemen. I wasnt questioning your picks as winners, I just have trouble believing no other car in that class had a high enough score to win an award. I sure dont need a copy of my judging sheet, asking for that shows no class at all. As for being a judge, I am not qualified at all. You also mentioned the winning car being a limited edition, based on that he was well picked as the winner, but my car is a limited edition as well, I know of one other car like it in the whole state. I dont use that fact in any way to try to win an award. Anyway next car show we are at look me up, the beer or soda is on me. Thanks, Don

Thanks for your input, and you are very right about competing against cars that are only driven 50 miles a year!
You have a great car that is very competitive at most shows.I will be lobbying for an additional class for the New/Newer Mustangs. I am suggesting an additional class for all “newer” Mustangs (1994 to present) to include convertibles, GT’s, Shelby’s, Rousch’s, Saleens, and any other special edition Mustang produced during those years. I believe that this would make the remaining vehicles in Class CC much more equal and competitive.

May 14, 2011 at 10:54 pm #37055circletrackParticipantKen… as a judge at this event, you have no idea how difficult it is to judge 600+ cars in a few hours. We run around like crazy (1) trying to find the cars that are scattered all around the park (2) judge every car fairly and (3) get the judging done on time so awards can be presented before dark… If you feel that strongly about this event, volunteer to judge ~ they need many more than they have!
May 14, 2011 at 11:45 pm #37056AnonymousInactiveKen, I will repeat and echo what circletrack posted. Make a difference, and step up and volunteer to judge this class or any class at the Pardeeville Community Car Show. We, as judges, start work around 9AM and continue to work until the end of the show, and awards are presented. We typically don’t stop and break for coffee or water, or lunch. We are not paid, we have no ties or connections to this show or any car brand, and we attempt to be as impartial as humanly possible.
I was the judge of this particular class last year and I did not pick this class, it was assigned to me. Although it was designated as a “Featured Class” on the car show flyer, new Mustangs were not given any favoritism or special consideration. The fact is, of the 32 or more cars in that class, 25 or more of them were new or newer Mustangs, all special editions such as Roush, Shelby, GT500, California Special, etc. The Mustangs scored higher than the few Challengers, Chargers, and Camaros in that class.
For this years show, we have created a separate class for new/newer Mustangs to pull these cars out of the new car/truck class and give the Mopars (Challengers/Chargers) and GM cars (Camaro’s) more opportunities to win the best in class awards. I don’t know what more could be done to make the competition fairer. I can tell you that the organizers of this show are extremely sensitive to feedback both positive and negative, which results in change from year to year. Thanks for weighing in on this and we, as judges, will do our very best to make you and everyone else who brings a car to this show, satisfied and happy with how the show is conducted.
