The media will make the cop out to be the bad guy, and the criminal will become a victim. :angry:
Statistics prove that crime rates are lower in states that have a concealed-carry law, I wish the WI legislation would remove there heads from there crevices and pass that bill here. Those who commit crimes may think twice about what they do and who the **** with. That cop did his job, sometimes deadly force is neccesary to serve and protect.
It is sad, but true, that we don’t pay law enforcement near enough for what they are sometimes required to do. We expect them to do what needs to be done, but don’t want to compensate them. The unpaid furloughs and time off without pay issues in Madison and Dane County comes to mind, immediately.
Maybe I am over simplifying here, but it is true that “he who lives by the sword, will die by the sword”. The bad guy was armed and pulled the gun while fleeing, the officer had no choice but to take him out. My thoughts, prayers and support are with the officer and his family. The bad guy rolled the dice and lost.
