I went out to QSL tonight, my first time this year! Nice to meet up with GTO Man, Big Block, and many others from the weekend shows!
What a great night at QSL! There were cars driving away (no where to park) as early as 7PM! Blue Chip Street Rods was there with Bruce & Kathy’s Willys. Benchmark Classics was there! There were 20 or more very, very nice Corvette’s at this event! I appreciate the fact that most of these cars are driver’s and we don’t see them at the weekend shows, but what a great group of cars to check out and enjoy!
The live band was excellent, the weather was about perfect, and you could tell it was the 4th of July vacation period!
Marshall I heard you were there but we must have missed each other (I came around 7:00). What did you think of that blue Mustang fastback? Nice looking car!
That blue Mustang fastback’s owner is a good friend. Actually, he was the first “car guy” that I met, even before I bought my fastback, and he found my fastback sitting outside Ford Man’s Mustang in the Mauston area and told me about it on a Monday and I bought the car on the following Saturday. The owner of the blue fastback is Chris Houg. Chris likes to drive the wheels off his car, and has never participated or attended a car show. He just doesn’t like the shows.
I hadn’t seen Chris in a couple of years, so we caught up last night at QSL! His car is looking spectacular!
Sorry I missed you last night but I did chat with Big Block and GTO Man!
