I drove by at noon and there were 10 cars under the overhang.

It is really too bad the weather did not cooperate again. People put allot of time and energy into putting on these car shows, and most if not all go for charitable causes. It takes allot of time to plan one of these events and it isn’t easy to re-schedule because of bad weather.

There had to alot of long faces at a number of Sunday shows this weekend. In addition to the Don Miller Show, there was Verona and the Jefferson Graduation Show. When the weather is bad and no one shows up, what do you do with the food, and with the helpers, and all the other components of the show?

Personally, I was staged and ready to go until the first storm cell moved through about 7AM, and my day was finished. I was caught on the beltline yesterday coming home from the Deerfield Show and my car is a mess. On the positive side, I am much more motivated to replace my windshield wiper switch now. 😯

Marshall ~ how many were at Deerfield? Sorry to hear about getting caught, thankfully I was almost home from DeForest when it started to sprinkle.

The turn-out/attendance at Deerfield was very light. At about mid day, I counted maybe 45 to 50 cars, tops. There were a few cars that drove in,drove around, took a look, and then took off. But, this year’s turn out was not even half of what it was last year.

Let me tell, there is nothing like driving an old car on the beltline with weak and dim lights to start with, and then factor in a cloud burst and down pour. I rode my brakes all the way from Stoughton Road to Fish Hatchery, so that the cars coming up behind me could see me. I definitely will replace that defective wiper switch this week.
