What would you recommend to hinder the spread of rust? I have used POR-15, are there other recommendations?

I’ve used rust bullet to coat my pans (I had a bit of surface rust due to the car sitting for 8 years). No prep needed.

I knew a guy 30 years ago who made his own.

He mixed roofing tar with kerosene. The stuff always stayed tacky
and never dried out. He never had any rust problems.

When I buy a new vehicle I don’t have them rustproofed anymore
because when I did they would always rust, but only in certain areas…..

…… and those areas were where the rustproof coating was!! crybaby2.gif
The body would always start to rust behind the coating.

I like that guy’s homemade formula but I’ve never tried it yet.
