Over the past couple of months I’ve been looking to find an original Sapphire I to install in my beetle. Currently it has an after market head unit with a tape cassette. Last week I found the 2 pieces I needed. The head unit and the chrome plate. One on the east coast and one on the west cost.
I really didn’t care if it worked, because I wanted to install a separate amp to plug an MP3 player into.
Here is the before I cleaned it up pics:
