IMO, much of the blame for inflation can be traced to the following:
The previous administration’s pressure on the FED to keep interest rates artificially low,
Corporations, whose main goals are to maximize profits at the expense of consumers, whether justified or not,
The injection of stimulus into the economy by the current administration. Unfortunately there was a pandemic which required a certain amount of stimulus. And something which seems to be normal in this country, illegally obtaining stimulus by corporations and individuals.
Overall, inflation has come down greatly in the past year. The price of gas looks like it is heading to below $2.00/gallon, and food prices have come down.
