Trader Joe’s in Madison and maybe nationwide has decided to stop selling any products which originate in China. I applaud them for this effort. It is about time that businesses in this country stop selling the garbage that is produced in China. What do you think?

Trader Joe won’t be in business long unless there are very loose rules about what is made in China. People only worry about cost and prices will have to go up if nothing from China is used. It’s a good publicity stunt but not very practical over time. I’ll bet that policy quietly changes before this time next year. Walmart used to brag about it’s American made stuff. October 11 their CEO was defending their China merchandise. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21254514/ He said they would pay 5-10% more for American made stuff but it wasn’t going to happen often.
