I have an 89 Grand Wagoneer that had some fuel supply issues last spring. so it’s been sitting for about 14 months.

I’m finally getting around to fixing the sending unit and i have no idea about what to do for starting this thing. I know i should change the oil, and i think the belts needed replacing anyway so i’ll do that. but how do i lubricate the engine before starting it?

Knowing which engine it is would help. icon_scratch.gif If it has an oil pump driven by the distrubuter, you can pull the distrubuter and use a drill and a shaft to spin the pump to build up pressure. If it’s not driven by the distributer, about all you can do is disable the ignition and crank the engine until there is oil pressure in the system. Plan on fresh gas too.
