When you are looking for a car what turns you off the most? It would be something the seller did or didn’t do, presentation, honesty, etc. When you look at an ad, what within the ad would keep you from ever looking at the car?

The biggest thing for me with any vehicle that is a turn off is if a previous owner has smoked inside the car. I do have an ionizer that eliminates the odors from a vehicle interior, but its just so nasty that I wouldn’t want to drive anything that was smoked in.

With that said, cleanliness is key in the presentation of a vehicle. Being one with extreme attention to detail, I give a very through inspection.

Next I look for originality, any accessories or modifications. Signs of body work, repair, etc.

It took me almost 6 months to find the right truck I wanted, and I’ve had it almost 5 years now. I’m thinking about upgrading to a 2013 F150, but to find what I want may be diffucult. And being payment free is kind of nice, too ;)

Turn offs for me when I am looking at a car, is when someone has smoked in it and has left burn holes, My 96 Corsica was smoked in when I got it, guy burned the plastic ash tray, another thing is if the headliner has fallen down, I know it can be fixed but I just hate paying out the money to replace headliner, Rust is another turn off.
