Looks like it was a good turn out even with the weather. I was going to bring the Lincoln but did not feel like taking a chance sitting in the rain.

We didn’t attend either… too many drinks after stuffing goody bags last night for our show… won’t do that again anytime soon! We did stop out later though, unfortunately the rain beat us. Looked like a good show!

Ryan’s fourth photograph down from the top is a 1965 Chevy Impala full custom, with an interesting story. The gentleman showing the car is the original owner, and the car was customized back in the late 60s, driven and shown for a year or so, then put in storage, for almost 40 years! The car was brought out of storage last year, and freshened up, to include new paint as the lacquer job from the 60s was cracked and “alligatored”. This was the first show for this car, since being cleaned up and brought back. This car is nice enough to be a best of show contender at most of the local shows! It’s a local car out of Fitchburg.

It is a neat custom it has been to the Road Apples cruise night at Culvers a couple of times. It even has those european headlights that were illegal in the US back in the sixties, cause they were not sealed beams. Not sure about a best of show contender most of them customs never open their hoods. If seen a few with that just got out of body shop look under the hood..LOL :)
